Before attending law school, she earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and taught accelerated summer courses on Trial Advocacy and Law in collaboration with Stanford Law School. She then earned her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law on a full academic scholarship as an “Ethos of Excellence” scholar.
While in law school, she was a member of the Florida Trial Team, a research assistant for Professor E. Lea Johnston, a teaching assistant for trial practice, and an intern at the State Attorney’s Office. Jennifer E. Braunstein served as president during her time on the Florida Trial Team. She and her competition teammates won the National Championship at the 2019 Georgetown Law White Collar Crime Competition. Before that, she won Best Overall Advocate at the 2018 Georgetown Law White Collar Crime Competition.
Jennifer E. Braunstein also received membership into the Order of the Barristers, a national honorary organization that recognizes graduating law students who have demonstrated exceptional skill in trial advocacy, oral advocacy, and brief writing. Since graduating, she has taught Evidence as a guest lecturer at the University of Florida Levin College of Law and continues to assist the Florida Trial Team.

Braunstein was an assistant state attorney, where she was honored as the 2022 Rookie of the Year for her exceptional trial skills, work ethic, and professionalism. This opportunity helped her gain extensive jury trial experience prosecuting a wide range of cases, with an area of specialization in major drug trafficking and overdose-related deaths.
Personal Life
Originally from Fort Lauderdale, FL, Jennifer E. Braunstein mentors the Jean Ribault High School Young Lawyers program and coaches the Jacksonville University Law School Trial Team in her free time. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Ms. Braunstein earned her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law on a full academic scholarship as an “Ethos of Excellence” scholar.
