Daniel Cardenas is a litigation associate handling matters involving business disputes, commercial litigation, securities disputes, broker-dealers, and a variety of real estate and construction litigation matters.

Before joining Murphy & Anderson, Mr. Cardenas was an Assistant State Attorney for Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit, where he prosecuted a diverse array of cases and gained substantial jury trial experience. Mr. Cardenas was a member of the State Attorney’s Office’s Special Prosecution Unit, where he was the lead attorney handling the majority of Duval County’s complex fraud and large-scale economic crime cases.

Mr. Cardenas earned his law degree from Duke University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Cardenas served as Vice President of the Law and Economics Society. He also served as intern for the Honorable Judge Rudolph Contreras of the District Court for the District of Columbia, as well for the Securities and Exchange Commission, where he assisted in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Unit.

Mr. Cardenas is originally from Tampa. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
